Our Story

OrthoChart, LLC was formed in October 1993.  I was the office manager of a large orthodontic practice where we used a competitors management system.  Our office became tired of huge support fees and the costs associated with that system.  We saw a need in the orthodontic market to provide a comprehensive software package at a reasonable price.  This has and will remain our primary goal.  Why should you pay $15,000+ for a product when you can buy a computer and install OrthoChart?


We began with a DOS version and then went straight to a Windows 3.1 version of OrthoChart.  We did limited marketing of the Windows 3.1 version because we began to focus on Windows 95.  When Windows 95 hit the market we were ready with a Windows 95 version.  In fact, we were the first to introduce a Windows 95 version of orthodontic software.  So, even though OrthoChart, LLC has not been around as long as some other companies, we have a lot more experience with Windows 95/98/2000/XP/Vista/7/8.  There are still a number of those old DOS programs being used and supported!


We have tried to take more of a “main stream” approach to selling our software.  We have done this by marketing direct to the orthodontist through magazine ads and referrals.  We do not usually attend meetings because you will ultimately pay for those booths through higher software costs.  This is a very different approach than our competitors, but it works for us.


We are continually enhancing the software by gathering ideas and suggestions from our users.  I want to thank all of them for their help and support over the years.  We couldn’t have done it without you and we continue to value your support and ideas.
